Boarding School Placement
We help students find schools that meet their needs, whether they have special needs, want to learn independence, or are looking for a challenge. Our consultants are trained with extensive knowledge of educational options. Our expertise, combined with a supportive, intentional approach to understanding your family, will help you identify a school that is academically, culturally, socially and financially appropriate. We meet with families to learn as much as possible about a child’s unique strengths and needs, interests, likes, dislikes, and to develop a personalized educational plan.
Special Education and Learning Difference Needs
Is your child underperforming or not working to potential? Are you unsure? When school and learning issues arise parents often feel overwhelmed, especially mid-year. We help identify the best school environment for a child with learning differences by using all the tools possible to assess unique needs, strengths and challenges. With this information, we guide families toward schools that offer specialized programs, individualized support and inclusive learning environments. Additionally, we navigate the process of school visits, application procedures, and securing accommodations such as an Individualized Education Programs (IEP) or 504 plan to ensure the student’s success and well-being in their new educational setting. Our guidance ensures that these plans include appropriate modifications and related services, such as speech or occupational therapy, to facilitate student success.
Tutoring, Study Skills and Executive Function Support
EEC offers in-home tutoring services in reading, math, SAT/ACT prep, study skills enhancement, and executive functioning support. The tutoring services and providers are selected very carefully and highly individualized, tailored to each student’s unique needs. We provide personalized coaching to foster effective study habits, time management, and organizational skills, empowering students to become more independent and efficient learners. Executive functioning support addresses challenges such as task initiation, focus, and self-regulation, equipping students with strategies to produce work and improve overall performance.
